Kernel Panic

I am having some troubles. I am having consistent and frequent Kernel Panics. I have no trouble in safe mode. Having read a few posts regarding kernel panics, this is what I have done:
-unplugged all the extras (printer, firewire external hard drive)
-Run disk utility (repaired permissions and repaired disk, numerous times)
-sometimes there are permission repairs but never disk repairs
-re-installed the OS (10.4) with the erase option
-removed the RAM
-Here is the panic log (since the re-install)

(Hope I got the BBcode thing right)
-Also note the odd date change (31 Dec 1969) in the panic.log. I reset the PMU.

I am still having problems.
I have a 800 MHz PowerPC G4 iMac with 512 MB SDRAM (well, now it is 256 since I took out one of the modules).
The hard drive (model ST380011A) is not original with the iMac. I had it replaced 2 years ago.

So, with all that. Is there something else that I can do or is it time to take it in to a repair shop?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

P.S. I am new to this type of help. I posted this to the help forum also before I found this.

Do you have the disks that came with that Mac originally? Those kernel panics mention uninorth and graphics processor. I would suggest to run the Apple Hardware Test from that install disc. (it is labeled with AHT or hardware test).

Boot to the disc with ALT down, select hardware test. Choose your language, then set it to loop mode, ctrl-L. Then run extended test, and if possible be prepared to run it even few hours. If it will find an error it will stop and give the error code.

The other option would be that somehting is causing the graphics and uninorth to hang.. so something in software or OS. But you'd have most likely found something unusual in disk utility...
