Can someone help me figure out what is going on. We have a DP 1.25 with 1gig ram that keeps getting kernel panics. This machine has a clean install of OS 10.2.8. No 3rd party apps at all. The log file shows that the error is the same every time.

Thanks in advance

Clean install of the system, you tried different ram, repaired permissions, no help there. The log mentions the deadlock and CPU.

I have had the same for 6-9 months now- Reinstalled may OSes, RAM, and just now upgraded to Radeon9000/128MB video card- Same results. Keeps mentioning "AppleCPUThermo-can't parse" error in Verbose Safe/SingleUser mode launch. I am left to fully believe that it is a LogicBoard/Processor issue. Its been to AppleRepair @CompUSA and had a AppleTech look at 2x- No fix of solution. Have decided to finally take to Apple Store- :( See thread @discussions.apple.com- Search for "Baffling MDD Crashes"

We did find the problem. We had a few Apple employees here at my work and one of the engineers said he has seen this before and it is a CPU failure. I do suggest to take it to an Apple store and let them take care of it for you.

Have a feeling this is happening to me, are u able to get into your system though, and if you are you reckon i could still be the cpu, just a question, cld be a stupid question but when you drop your laptop what is the first thing that is likely to go wrong or break.
