I am experiencing a strange problem with my (Unicomp) keyboard and mouse (2 buttons with scroll wheel).
I can be on a Web site and when I click the mouse, it brings up a small window with opens (i.e. open in new window, copy image, etc.). The basic functions, such as clicking on a link and going to that page, don't work.
At the same time, it seems that my keyboard stops working. Some keys will work, others nothing shows up when pressing the keys. If I shutdown and restart, it seems to solve the problem, at least for a little while.
Keyboard and mouse are plugged into individual USB ports on the back of a G5 desktop running 10.4.11. I've checked preferences and everything looks OK, repaired permissions, etc. I've tried the keyboard and mouse on another computer and they work fine; I've also switched keyboards on my G5 when this happens and the other (Apple) keyboard seems to function OK (I do prefer the Unicomp).
