Keyboard And Touchpad Failure G4 Powerbook

My G4 Powerbook touchpad has stopped working and intermittently my keyboard also stops responding. Restarting usually restores the keyboard but not the touchpad.
I ran disk repair to no avail. The Powerbook was purchased new in March 2005. I installed Tiger in May and all was well until now, July 1
 
Take it to an Apple retail store and half the geniuses look at it. Seems to me like it could be hardware trouble. Maybe a loose internal connection?
 
Definitely a hardware problem. I suggest you let Apple handle it, otherwise you might break your warranty if you tried to open up the Powerbook to have a look yourself.
