Keyboard lag in safari

Hey, I have this really odd problem. In safari when typing there around a 2 second lag from the time of typing something till the time it appears on the screen. My macbook is brand new and this shouldnt be happening. can anyone kindly help me fix this problem?

I have seen this too but I cannot figure out what it correlates to. Is it flash, am I running Parallels, or what? Do you notice any patterns in when and where it happens?

well i rebooted and the problem was solved, i was running on really low ram and some application was hogging the ram, i hope i dont see this again.
