I want to delete a previous password for on of the OSX User accounts. I've typed in the new password in the Users preference panel, but I can still use the old one to connect to the network etc!
I realise this is probably something to do with the keychain etc, but I can't find the password in the user keychain list!
You might have to use netinfo to change it. Not quite sure on this one. When you changed in in the User Preference panel, it should have changed from the old one. Can you log in with the new one? Or are you forced to use the old one to log in?
You may have to go into netinfo and set the password manually for the user. I'm not 100% sure how to do this, but search the archives here and at www.macosxhints.com. Or, hopefully someone here might be able to explain this better for you.
