I'm suffering the Safari Keychain prompt issue too! I've followed several instructions on various forums but still no joy! Any help would be appreciated!

Did you unlock the keychain in Keychain preferences?
That's in Keychain Access Menu>Preferences>First Aid

If you happened to do a password reset from the reset password utility on the OSX installer disk because the original password was lost/forgotten, this will prompt you to enter your keychain password. Is this what you are talking about? More info if you want help please...
