Keystroke For 'back'

Hi
Is there a keystroke for 'back' ? I know in websites I can click the left arrow for 'previous' or the contextual menu from the mouse for 'back' but I would like to be able to put the keystroke on my Kensington mouse buttons.
I did a search on this site, but didn't find anything specific. I have a few books on Mac OS X but they don't mention that particular keystroke. Thanks folks ! Dean M

Lt M.B. NO. Not 'backspace' I need a keystroke to return to the page or window or whatever that has just been viewed. As I said, I can use the 'previous' arrow or 'back' option with control-click. I want to add a keystroke to my four button Kensington trackball that performs the 'back' or 'previous' function. Thanks. Dean M

Thanks Symphonix.
Your a Hoot (an obscure musical term?)
Sorry to take up so much of the forums time for such a dumb thing. Picky I guess. Dean M
