Having joined the multitude who figured out that turning rendezvous off resulted in CPU cycles being dedicated to their workstation's tasks (as opposed to building network maps) we were dismayed to find that Apple decided to apparently make it more difficult to drop this unnecessary service.

Is there a FAQ/whitepapwr somewhere that sets out a) what bonjour is now tied to so one can understand the implications of killing it, b) now that they have reinvented bonjour, how does one stop it from running.
