Hello,

Sorry if i bother you guys with a silly question but i am a newbie, and i've been looking around before posting this thread but i couldn't find anything about it.
I have the sensation that someone really close to me has been "spying" my mac. I don't want to set up any kind of password protection yet because i want to "prove" first that they did it.
My question is if there is any way to track the time or the applications or the files that people has been using on my laptop. That would really help me to discover who is spying me.
I'd like to know if mac keeps track of the date/time and files or applications viewed on it's system and how to access that information.

Thnx a lot!

If you head to Applications-->Utilities and launch Console, you'll be able to view system logs for almost everything listed.

Naima,

Do you mean peeking from the network or logging into your mac as you or as another user. NG is right on, but it you could turn on the firewall and logging to get an even better idea of where they are going - seeing. However, the logs via Console is the key.

Thanks for your answers.
I meant loggin into my computer.
I'll try to check the console right now.
Thanks again!

i'd put a password on, set up the mac to require you to login to get to the desktop, and then tell it to make the shutdown button inactive on the login window. also set up the mac to reboot after a power failure. now after the computer boots, it can't be turned off with out pulling the cord out of the back. and if they do that, when they plug it back in, it will boot again by its self. so if you come home and find it on, or unplugged, then someone was messing with it. but thats just the way i am.
