just a note to forum members because this kind of thing happens so rarely these days. i had a sonnet crescendo/ws g4/500 up-grade card go bad in my wallstreet powerbook one month before the three year warranty was up. sonnet lived up to the warranty and replace the card immediately, no questions asked.

Now that is service ! What brought you to the decision that it was the sonnet card that failed?

my wallstreet was completely dead and nothing i did would revive it. that's never happened before so i took it to a mac repair shop in my neighborhood and they concluded the sonnet card was bad. also, it had been behaving strangly for a while before it finally kicked the bucket.
