Language problem with Terminal

Hello,

I am an Icelandic user, and I do want to be able to write icelandic-only characters in Terminal. What happens now, is that the character gets escaped in terminal (fx. \303). If I go to window settings end un-check the "Escape non-ascii characters" then when I try to write icelandic characters, nothing happens. My display setting in terminal is set to UTF-8.

Am I missing some configuration option?

Change your shell to be zsh. That does at least for umlaut characters, so it hopefully gives support for other special characters too.
