LCD beginning to show ghosting

I have a 23" LCD monitor that I purchase with my mac mini within the year.

As of late the monitor is beginning to show ghosting right where the finder bar is on the top. This is a static part of the OS and only when the screen saver activates does the ghosting threat go away. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how to maintain the monitor to prevent this ghosting?

Currently i have the brightness set to the minimal level.

Thank you for the help

Theodore

PS Mac's are awesome... I'm a somewhat recent switcher

Brightness cannot cause ghosting of an LCD display because it reflects light. LCDs reflect light when they are oriented under the influence of a voltage. It seems that some of the LCDs in your display have frozen into a prefered orientation. Perhaps a screensaver, a fullscreen video, or even a benchmarking utility which also tests the video, anything that will change the colors of the pixels in the area of your display where the ghosting appears should do the trick.
