LDAP Authentication

Hi, Is there any step by step guide to setting up an x server and client to do LDAP (Open directory) login authentication. I have tried the instructions at macdevcenter.com and they didn't work. It's frustrating, I HAVE set it up before, but I can't remember how I did it!

You could download the PDF's from Apple.com for their server platform.

Pretty much, you create an Open Directory Master and then plug your clients into that Open Directory through the Directory Access application on the clients (in very short) :)
 
Ah, after a little while of fiddling around, I figured out what I had done wrong. Silly me had not put the users in the LDAP directory, I had put them in the local directory :rolleyes:

Okay, new question, how do I move the local directory user accounts to the ldap directory, and keep the passwords?
