I have a powermac G5 with the latest version of Leopard, and I'm connected to the internet via ATT FastAccess DSL through ethernet.
I have been experiencing very slow download speeds (almost as slow as dialup), but my upload speeds are consistently where they need to be. I have had an AT&T serviceperson check my line and modem, and everything from their end works fine.
We are supposed to be getting a download speed range of 2.4 Mbps to 3.0 Mbps, and are getting speeds as slow as 480 Kbps. What about my computer could be slowing my download speeds well below what it should be?
