Libusb.pkg doesn't install properly

Dual 1.25 GHz PowerPC G4 --Panther 10.3.9

I bought a Mustek A3 USB 1200 Pro ScanExpress scanner and need to download the TWAIN SANE interface package along with the libusb.pkg and sane-backends package in order to install the driver.

I went to http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/ and downloaded all of the binary packages for panther OS.

When I double click on the libusb.pkg, Installer opens and I get stuck at the Software License agreement. I click on agree and then it goes to the next screen that is blank and has a "go back" button and a "continue" button. I can click on the "continue" button but it doesn't go to the next step.

Is something wrong with the libusb.pkg? Or is something wrong with the Installer?

Please help. I just need to get libusb.pkg installed and I can install the rest and get the scanner to work.

I stumbled upon www.charlessoft.com and downloaded Pacifist. This helped me install all 4 of the sane packages. I then continued to follow the directions on http://www.pauljholden.com/wordpress/?p=1159 and the scanner now works.
