Lightroom not installing

Ok, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but:

I'm trying to install Lightroom 1.1. Everything is fine until it gets to the "select destination volume" where I tried to select Mac HD but this error comes up:

"You cannot install this software on this volume. A newer version of the package is already installed." Screencap

I tried to install a trial version of Lightroom a couple weeks ago but decided to wait until I got the actual software to test it out, so I deleted/uninstalled it completely off my mac.

I have no clue what to do at this point. What does the error mean? What can I do? thanks for the help.
 
It is trying to tell you that you have a newer version already installed.
Deleting all related plists and package receipts for that application should be enough to make it believe that it's not installed to get it installed again.
