Linksys router on network

This isn't mac specific, but I don't know of a better place to ask...
I have a Linksys wireless router connected to my school's network and I would like to utilize the school's DCHP instead of getting IP addresses from the router (I want it to act like a network bridge, essentially). How do I do that? Thanks for your help.

I don't have the Links wireless, but on mine I can disable DHCP Server under the DHCP Tab.

Why use the router, just have your assign an IP to your machine.

I did that at home. It wasn't wireless or Linksys, but it did work and may work for you.
After searching everywhere in the preferences for an option making the router ask for an IP from another router, I finally just rebooted it while connected to the network. Then it suddenly just worked as a switch...
