Linux/KDE with X11 with OSX

Hey guys..

Are there any how to's anymore kicking around? About a year ago I had this set-up with my iBook and wanted to get it going again on another system. I was running KDE I think through X11, so within OSX. It was so handy to jump back and forth and to have access to all of the wicked open source apps. I tried searching KDE and KDE install to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yea, I am sure that is the way it went last time, but I know there were a few small steps that I am not remembering, there was a great walkthrough and even a thread in this forum that greatly hepled the process!
