Ok, this has been on my mind for awhile and i figure someone here has an answer for it. Anyways, does linux still activite the backlit keyboard? Does act the same as it would if it was running in Mac os x? Are there any distros that don't recgonize the backlit keyboard? If so which ones? Anyways that's what I'm really curious about with linux on a powerbook. Thanks for your time
No support for the backlit keyboard exists under Linux at this time. Better stick to OS X if you want a backlit keyboard.
If you're buying a new Powerbook 15" or 17", the CPU speed is incorrectly detected under Linux so you end up running at half the max speed, sound doesn't work, sleep doesn't work, 3D acceleration doesn't work, vga-out may work, wireless will never work.
