I wanted to install a cd for a sony camescope and just get 'the destination folder for ' MAC' ( the file name on the cd-rom) is on locked volume'. Did not choose a destination folder so not sure what's wrong. Read a similar post. Complicated looking solution especially for a jargon newbie like myself.
