Locking folders with unique password

Hi all, I wonder if theres´s a way through Tiger, or any purchasable/downloadable software for OSX, to lock and protect, maybe even hide folders that you want to keep absolutely private. I want them locked even from other persons that have the administrator password, or from other administrators. I want the folder to have it´s own, unique, overridable password. Anyone?

yours

If you make a disk image with Apple's Disk Utility, you'll be presented with the option to choose a "format". If you choose "AES Encrypted" you'll be asked to enter a password. That password will be required to mount the disk image -- that is, every time you want to "open" and gain access to the contents of the files on the disk image, you'll have to enter the password.

Now if you literally want to hide an item from the Finder, you'd have to rename the item so that it starts with a period .

If you do, you'll have to use the Terminal to gain access to the hidden file or download something like TinkerTool to have the ability to turn on and off hidden files.
