Logout freeze issue

I have read other post regarding login and log out issues.

This seems intermittent--when logging out, the process begins but then the blue screen hangs. Need to reboot.

I tried this with safe boot, and log out did work--but haven't tried this again.

Permissions repaired, also ran first aid--disk is okay.
 
How long does it hang, will it hang there all night? Or do you give up after a few minutes and just power it off?
