Looking For A Photoshop Filter....

I want to get a new Mezotint filter for Photoshop 7. The one that photoshop has doesnt get the job that i want done. Does anyone know a good filter? I don't mind paying for it [This is for my dad, professional graphic designer].

What purpose do you want this for? Is there another filter that might do the trick, or a combination of filters?

I did find this trick for applying a "mezzotint-like" effect without anything extra.

Pretty cool trick, but my dad wants some type of plugin that automatically does mezzotint, and so that he can control it with little scroll thingies to increase the mezzotintness.

Well, the default mezzotint has about 9 different menu options that alter the shape/size of the filter... if you mean more or less effect, tell him to apply it to a duplicate layer and to change the opacity and blend mode.
