looking for help with MySQL

Anybody used MySQL on MAC 10.1 ?

I need some help to start with it.

I've used databases on PC and on Vax VMS, including SQL based databases, but I have problems to understand the philosophy of MySQL.

I couldn't get it to start either. It was almost a chicken-egg prob.

mysql required some thing to be set up first, and the thing that setup the thing required mysql to be running... bah!
