lost disk, need to run disk utility

Hi!

I can't seem to find my tiger disk. However, when I run disk utility to verify disk, it says that I need to repait it. Is there away to run the program without the disk? My comp is starting to act funny (really slow, safari crashing).

First, how can I run disk utility, and second, is this a problem anyone else is having (since the last update)

Of course running disk repair is always best by using it from install DVD, here is a link you can try this and see what happens:

After rebooting in SafeMode, it cleared it up! Now just need to find that disk!
