Lost E-mail

some how, i hit a button that lost all of the e-mails i had received
up to that point, but the e-mail setting as well !!!!

i contacted my server(internet explorer), and got my settings back..

i can now get and send e-mails.

but i seem to have lost ALL of the e-mails up to that point !!!

i have to believe that the lost e-mails are SOMEWHERE in my
computer.

can you help me find them?

What is your ISP? Where were your messages stored?

Internet Explorer is a web browser, not a server.

are you using an email program to retieve your mail? Mail, Entourage, etc...?
