Lost photo's with Image Capture/iPhoto

Hi,

I have this problem, yesterday I tried to upload some photo's... Because this camera (a HP M440) is quiet windows-orientated, I used image capture to import my photo's and video's of it... First I uploaded the video's to the Finder and after that I tried to upload the photo's and import it to iPhoto automatically...

Of course, I was quiet stupid as well, I shouldn't have used the automatic option to delete these 'imported' photo's...

What I've already tried:

3 Of the possible solutions for recovering with iPhoto:

1. Used the Finder, iPhoto Library, show contents, and searched for them... Weren't there...

2. Use iPhoto Library Manager to recover the .xml-file, also no effect...

3. Used Option-Command with start-up and tried to recover them...

It all failed... I think the problem will be in the Image Capture program or the connection between iPhoto and this program...

Btw, maybe it is important to say that iPhoto was acting a bit strange after it... Tried to quit it, I let me wait a long time before it actually was done...

Does Image Capture make some back-ups? Or can I recover deleted files from the SD-card of my camera?

My hardware information is this:

Mac mini, 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
RAM: 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR 3
Mac OS X version 10.6.2

Thanks for your time and maybe the help.

There is SD card recovery software. I've had to undelete files off an SD card before and it worked. I'm not certain the name of the program I used, but I believe there's more than one out there. I believe I used "Image Rescue 3", but not sure.

The most important thing to remember is to not use that SD card for anything until you've attempted your recovery to avoid writing over it.

Yes, off course, you can recover your photos from the SD card. Actually when the any data say photos gets deleted, formatted, missed or lost from any storage device, its address becomes free and the memory occupied by the data becomes available for other data’s to store. If the memory thus released is not overwritten then it is quite possible that the data stored in it can be retrieved. You just need a good recovery tool.
So, why don’t you try photo recovery for Mac software to recover your deleted or lost data’s. I am sure it will help you out.
All the best!
