its one of those days _ tried running system update but it hung up about 3/4 through checking _ then there was a question mark over system preferences in the dock _ trying to open system preferences gave an error message stating that system preferences is not installed (it worked yesterday) _ now the system preferences icon is gone from the dock _ any ideas on how to get system preferences back ?
