lpr printing, anyone got it to work?

I am trying to print with my unsupported canon bjc 3000 printer attached to my pc with winxp. I created a lpr port on the pc and shared it. The documents appear in the queue and appear to print but nothing happens

Yup, got it working just fine here. We have a network printer with a static IP, and it works via LPR from OS X no problem.

I've got it working on a network hp laserjet 4 plus and 5m and a lexmark optra c.

No wucking furries!

It worked in PB for me and my LaserJet 2100.
But in 10.1.1 I can't get it up
So please enlighten me if you can.
