been watching a lot of lynda.com over the years.
Now i have an ipod i want to tranfer them to the ipod.
Anyone knows how to convert this (protected)Quicktime to mp4.
I would think HandBrake could do that for you. I know it can take a normal DVD and convert it to viewing on an iPod. I would think it could do it with most video formats.
If not, Visual Hub might be the solution
VisualHub is king, but if all you need to do is convert files for iPod, then Techspansion have a free version of VisualHub called iSquint which works the same, but is restricted to only video to iPod conversion.
I notice you mentioned the Quicktime files were protected, though. If the video files have DRM then that complicates things considerably, but as far as I know lynda.com files don't use DRM. I might be wrong though -- it's been a while since I used their training videos.
Try iSquint and post the results back here; if it doesn't work we'll take it from there
Thanks you all for giving advice.
I've now succesfully used Sothink Ipod Video Converter. ipod-video-converter
