Mac 10.1 vs Windows XP

This is working on my machine but not my friends. I'm not sure why this is, so if it doesn't work for you and you figure it out, let me know.

What user are you logging in as? My experience is that only root can open up a GUI application on another user. This is fine with me, since I don't want anyone else logging in and opening up applications on me. I believe it's a feature, not a bug.

I didnt realize i was dealing with Sir Genius himself :)

Sorry i wasnt trying to be rude, I had forgotten about typing "open" on the command line. But still as other people have said it seems to work only for root and not other users.
