Hi Everyone,

Can someone please help me with networking my Mac 10.3 and Windows XP Home Edition.

I only want to create a computer to computer connection using a cross-over ethernet lead, where-ever I look everyone says it is easy but I am lost.

Please can some one help me or show me any great tutorials that illustrate mac to pc using a cross-over lead.

Thanks

First off: you don't even need a crosslinked cable.
Mac is able to handle both cables and tell stupid windoze that the cable is crosslinked. ;)
1. however, you should plug those comps and setup an ip for both boxes. (I will tell you the big steps and you can ask if you are stucked at one)
2. you should try to ping the machines. (use terminal on mac and dos-promt on WinXP and type "ping ip.from.the.othermachine" [you should of course add the ip there ;)]
3. you should share folders on both machines
4. Et voila!
