Mac 10.4 ODBC Madness

Hi Folks,
This is my first post, I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I've been a mac guy all my life, which means, in my field of work, I'm in the minority. If I even bring an apple for lunch, my IT department takes a nutty. So, I hope someone out here can help me out.

I want to connect my mac, to the oracle 9i server, I've placed the connection information needed in the odbc administrator utility and set that up. Yet, whenever I launch any of my sql scripting tools (like sql grinder and the like) It shows that I am unable to connect to the database.

What am I doing wrong? I called applecare and the guy who answered hardly spoke english, let alone understand my problem. After 25 minutes of him telling me how to open internet connect and use my airport, I hung up. I hope someone here can lend some advice.

Best,
Jake

It is my understanding you still have to have the correct driver installed for ODBC connections.

So, do you have the Oracle 9i ODBC driver installed on your mac?
