I have an old Mac 6500 that still works fine. I play in a band and would like to make the 6500 into kind of a large mp3 recorder. I would need a card that would accept RCA cables or a 1/4" jack. Run from our mixing board to the mac to record our practices. I dont need anything fancy just something to get the job done. I have no idea what kind of card to get or what software would work to record this to mp3. The mac has 9.2 installed and right now has 2 four gig drives, enough for what we need. Can I get anything cheap to make this work? I am sure the software I can get for free (freeware) but its the card I am going to have trouble finding.
