i bought one from a car boot sale and it wasnt supplied with the passwords...guy who sold it thought it was just a monitor

we need to do a system restore but without passwords were stuck..have tried command and s keys but its not opening up boot menu

any ideas
 
What are you talking about? MacOS 9.2 is an operating system. If you are talking about a Mac with MacOS 9.2 installed, then you need to be a lot clearer about your system.
 
If you're referring to an open-firmware password, then you need to do the following to reset it:

1) Add or remove a significant amount of RAM.
2) Boot the computer and immediately zap the PRAM.
3) Remove the open-firmware password with the open-firmware password utility.

If you're not talking about an open-firmware password and rather a user account password, then state that.
