mac and windows media player plug ins

Hi-- I went to a site to view the straming video and was asked to install WMP. So Installed WMP 9 AND flip for mac and still cannot view the media. The message I get says I don't have the MIME plug in for "application/x-wmplayer"

Cannot find this on my QT player and WMP settings. Any advice?
