Mac Client disconnects fr Windows Server

OSX 10.4 Mac clients on G5s randomly receive a disconnect message while working on a file either at the local level (on the Mac's desktop) or over the network on the server. The message does not provide an error code. It simply states that "servers were disconnected". Our Macs typically connect to Exchange Server 2003 to either copy down these files to their Macs to work on or they work directly over the network on those files (at the server). We are currently accessing server volumes via smb://IPaddress and have been doing so for months now.

Have you heard of this problem? Are there any known fixes for this? Thank you.
