Mac finder not refreshing search

hi ,
i am using MAC 10.7.2 lion .when i do a search on mounted folder and rename any file the search dialog does not refresh the name and does not show me the latest . when i do the same search from 'all my files' i can see the search dialog getting refreshed . I am not sure how exactly finder triggers the refresh on search dialog , can some one help me ???

O.K. I have a possible fix.

Well fixing Spotlight has been around and I hope you are not afraid of the Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal). Open Terminal and type the command:

sudo mdutil -E /

After running this command it will take a little while for Spotlight to reindex the files in your Mac. So let it run (a cog wheel will spin in Spotlight) until the cog wheel disappears. Then try your searching agin and it SHOULD be fixed, hopefully.
