mac g4 will not boot no chimes, monitor

When I try to boot my Mac G4 the light comes on the cd drive will open but nothing else happens. No chimes or screen image.
I haven't used it for a couple of months but it was working then.

Have you looked inside the computer? Are all of the cables from the power supply connected? Sometimes the RAM may come unseated...Is your RAM snug?
