Mac G5 Dual processor wont start up

Hi,

This morning when I turned on my G5 Mac the fans started running - sounded like a jumbo jet taking off ! - but the screen didn't come on, nor was there a start up sound. I tried resetting the SMU, but the Mac still wouldn't start up, the funs dont run as fast, but there is now a red light which appears inside the box just abouve where the power button is ?

Please help, I dont know where to start! My mac is not connected to the internet.

Print out the article and the links from Apple and make an appointment with the Apple Store to have it looked at. I did my homework and printed out all the information on the issue with my iMac G5 (bad capacitor and power supply problem) and got the parts fixed at no charge through a replacement program for that model iMac even though my warranty was expired.
