I just wanted to announce the availability of version 2.0 of our support and diagnostic software, Mac HelpMate.
It does many of the same troubleshooting and maintenance tasks as other popular applications but with some important differences:
1. tasks can be scheduled to run at any time
2. Detailed S.M.A.R.T diagnostics far beyond what Disk Utility or SmartReporter provides
3. Network diagnostics such as external IP, DNS resolvers, Security log processing and DHCP server information
4. System diagnostics like List open files and HFSDebug, and much more
5. A full range of "cache and trash" cleaning scripts
