.Mac HomePage TOTAL FRUSTRATION

O.K... I am a .Mac member and I have a website at "http://homepage.mac.com/neoangelic/"

...last night I went into my iDisk and DELETED_EVERYTHING in my "Sites" folder on my iDisk...

For some reason, when I go to my start page "http://homepage.mac.com/neoangelic/" the OLD, DELETED website STILL shows up.... images and all!!

HOW CAN THIS BE?? I DELETED EVERYTHING IN MY iDisk Sites folder...

I also went into www.mac.com and tried over-writing it with new pre-made .Mac templates, but the OLD, DELETED webpage still is there?!

I am about 10 seconds away from cancelling my .Mac account.. This is totally rediculous.

How the heck can something I deleted from my iDisk still exist on the webpage...

PLEASE eMail me privately or post here if you know.. THANKS

..or, if there is no answer.. How can i CANCEL my .Mac membership?

Since I deleted all the files from my iDisk Sites directory, when you go to my webpage "http://homepage.mac.com/neoangelic/" there should be _NOTHING_ there.. You should get one of those .Mac default "Sorry, this homepage does not exist," messages.

but.. you don't.. instead some page that I deleted three days ago still exists in it's place..

Can anyone help me?? :(

I don't know man, I went to your site and it says nothing is there. Is it possible your browser is just loaded up the cached webpage? Try going to your site again and hitting 'Refresh.'

Make sure your webbrowser isnt displaying a cached page. If it still is, try to delete/remove everything instead of overwriting it with new templates.

Or just put a password on it and then no one can get into it.

Also, if none of that works, let them know of the bug in their system. They will fix it. Dont get to pissed off in the fact they are not doing it on purpose.

;) :p

If you were able to go onto "http://homepage.mac.com/neoangelic/" and not see anything there, than that means it must be my computer which cached the file.

Thanks guys. I love my Mac :)

P.S. I just moved to Thailand and I plugged my American 120-V Airport into the wall overnight. (Here in Thailand the outage is 220-V) ...The plastic surrounding the black power-box melted.. hmm.. bad sign? :D

Good thing my iBook has a plug that goes from 100-240-V!

peace,
Chris

O.K.. I tried clearing my Safari cache and the website still comes up.. Even in IE.

Can someone verify if the webpage works

http://homepage.mac.com/neoangelic/

It would be a ^GOOD^ thing if you get the "Sorry, this members homepage does not exist."

It is a ^BAD^ ^BUGGY^ thing if you see my 'Under Construction' black-backgrounded page.....

Thanks guys for trouble-shooting for me.

This is really weird and never happened till I moved to Thailand :/

Thanks Udog!!!! That means that everything is A-O.K!!! My silly mac doesn't want to uncache the page, that's all!!

peace,
Chris

Well, I just hit your website and got a July 2nd, 2003 website. Is this new or the one you're trying to delete?

Actually, I just recently uploaded that to the .Mac server after many of you board-members verified my original page-caching suspicions.

Although, I do appreciate the idea that the ^NEW^ index is working. Thank you for checking, Dgill :) Yes, it is a new page.

thanks,
Chris
