Mac Keeps Crashing

Hi,

I've been having trouble lately with my Mac OS X (Version 10.5.8). Lately, when I try to start certain programs, such as Parallels, my computer screen becomes dim and there is a command telling me to hold down the power button. I've never had problems starting Parallels before, although I haven't used it in a number of months. I can't think of anything I might have installed (e.g. no new RAM). Below, I've copied and pasted the panic report:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ram can go bad. Given the fact your Mac is Intel and it's running Leopard, it could still be under warranty. Any Apple Store or service provider nearby? Otherwise, you could find a local member of the Apple Consultants Network to help you - www.apple.com/consultants

Before suspecting bad RAM, I'd uninstall Parallels and reinstall. Parallels takes advantage of kernel extensions (.kext). From the dump above, it looks like Parallels kext may possibly have crashed your system. This happened to me a few times while using Parallels. I personally have found VMWare Fusion to be more stable.
