Mac Mail 2 missing 'trash' folder.

Hey folks, I can't work out what I've just done or indeed how I did it, but now when I delete an item from my mail inbox instead of being moved from that view to the 'trash' folder it is just greyed out, and stays in the inbox. It also looks like the trash folder has been removed from my list of mailbox's on the left pane.

Can anyone let me know what settings I need to change to reinstate the old mailbox behaviours?

Go the the Mail preferences, click on account, then go into the mailbox behaviors and see if you can correct the problem from there.

This worked for me when I somehow lost the Trash icon from the sidebar.
I never thought it would be under Accounts. Oh well, pays to go to the experts...
