Mac Mail - In An Open Email, Add "Next" and "Previous" Buttons

In Mac Mail when an email is open (not Previewed), is there any way to add "Next" and "Previous" buttons to the Toolbar?
 
Hi Houghton,
are you using 10.4 or 10.5?
At least in 10.4, the next and previous aren't default available options there.
(View > Customize toolbar) Is just using up and down buttons in the default view not enough for you?
