For those of us who read Scott Kurtz's PVPonline he just made a long post but still a great one :

The Mac Zealots have spoken, I'm getting a Mac
Posted on Tuesday, January 11, 2005

"Back in May of 2004, I put up an optional donation box for all the Mac Zealots who insist on harassing me about switching from a PC to the all powerful apple line.

Now, instead of emailing me, they would be able to send me one dollar towards a mac if they wanted me to have one so badly. As of the date I took down the donation link, I had earned just over 1100 bucks. Donations had stopped coming in so I was going to have to buy a crappy emac, or spend some of my own money to get an iMac or a laptop. I already have a laptop and I got no place for an iMac.

Then those genius bastards at apple invented the Mac Mini. It's a G4 Mac not much bigger than a CD jewel case. It will let me edit movies, store digital photos, manage my ipod, and maybe even do a little art, and give Scratch a new place to sleep.

I'll have money left over to upgrade memory and get a superdrive as well as purchase a switch box so I can use the same monitor, mouse and keyboard that I'm using with my PC. It's perfect.

So there you go, Mac fiends. I'll soon have the best of both worlds and the Brent Sienna in me will be complete. Mac Mini will be MINE!" - Scott Kurtz

That's great, i am a huge fan of his Cartoon strip, and i think he'll love it, lol. Another Switch story.

I never even considered this - the Mac mini is so small you could actually just plonk it on top of the PC and use the two together with a switch box.

Because that's an Apple-recommended use (http://www.apple.com/macmini/):

Perfect for Programmers

Set a space-saving Mac mini atop your workstation PC and add a KVM switch to share keyboard, monitor and mouse. Mac OS X includes free developer tools for Mac, UNIX and Java. Test out a Mac version of your latest creation, instantly. Pretty soon you’ll be using the Mac full-time, with that PC relegated to the testbed.

if i had the money, thats the same i would do, place the KVM next to my monitor and place the mini on top of my pc

No.. i think you're missing my point. i was implying the crapness of windows/PCs.. thus, the desire to use the mac INSTEAD not aswell..

One thing: He says he will have to buy an emac but not an imac because it will take up too much space. Huh?! The iMac is smaller than the emac in footspace, isn't it?

no, he was saying that he would have had to spend a lot more money to get an imac OR he could buy an eMac.
ie: they were two separatad options and he only explained the reason not wanting to get the iMac and the ibook. the eMac was what was in his budget, but he didnt like it. thus: getting a Mac mini and maxing it out so it's much better than an eMac.

that's how i understood it anyway.
