Mac Mini - Dlink

Hi,
just got a Mac Mini, a used one, because Mac is doing cool stuff. I have not tried Apple products before so I was quite excited.

However when trying to set it up wireless to the D-link dir-655 router it only works in open network. It did find the wifi and connected in open/no password mode.

If I use WEP or WPA the Mac Mini doesnt even see the network. If I type it in manually it doesnt work either. The Mac Mini can see other networks but not mine.

I have updated the Airport to latest version as well as the firmware on the D-link.

My other devices (PC, Iphone, BB) connects to the Wifi so I'm not sure what is going on being a Newbie on Mac...

Could anyone lead me in the right direction, please

Read the thread [HowTo] Make 10.5.x speak to a non-functioning D-link wireless router and see if that helps you.

Lastly are you getting into the router via ethernet? If you are you are getting into the router (while wired to it) see if you are configuring it correctly.

l did get it to work last night but then it dropped again so my hope is with your suggestion...
