mac mini no longer going to sleep

My wife's G4 mac mini is no longer going to sleep. It is set to sleep at 15 minuts of inactivity, same as my intel iMac. Even from a clean boot, nothing running it behaves that way. She has no login programs at all. She has a few dashboard widgets, but this happens even if dashboard has not been run. She is patched up to date...

I cant' qutie figure it. The monitor will go black at the 10 minute mark like it should, but it never goes to sleep after that.

Try disconnections all peripherals except an Apple mouse, keyboard, and a monitor. Have you performed any upgrades on the mini?

Just the standard expected software upgrades, and mouse, keyboard, router and headphones are the only peripherals connected, and that's the same router connected to my iMac which shuts down fine.

Of course, I say this, and when I just got home, her computer had actually gone to sleep, first time in days. Now I got to figure out what changed.
