Mac Mini RAM

Is the RAM on the Mac Mini the same used on my EMac (see sig)

Trying to work smart on ordering BTO 256, taking a 256 out of the EMac making it 512 ,and getting a new 512 to replace it on the EMac.

Can this be done?

Yes, they use the exact same RAM.

The Mac mini only has ONE ram slot though... just incase you didnt know.

If you were willing to open the miniMac, you could just order the standard configuration, replace the 256 MB with either a 512 or one gig stick that you bought for cheap yourself, and then throw the 256 into the eMac's other slot for a whopping 512 MB.

Hi, yes sorry, my sig was wrong, i have 2 x 256 stix in the e-mac already, could have sworn i only had 256 when i bought it? one must have grown?

How many slots does the e-mac have?
